Andy Presby is an avid space enthusiast and student of naval history. He consults on future technology for science fiction authors and has degrees in physics, spacecraft systems engineering and astronautical engineering. He was a founding member of BuNine, contributed to the Honorverse Companion Vol. 1, and published fictional nonfiction in the anthology In Fire Forged: Worlds of Honor 5. When not trying to build starships, he is United States Navy submarine officer.
